003.6 miles - The Pudding Club - Three Ways House Hotel, Mickleton

Three Ways House Hotel is the home of the Pudding Club which was established in 1985 to prevent the demise of the traditional great British Pudding.  Meetings of the club have been featured on the BBC's Food and Drink, and Holiday programs, etc.

The cost of an evening at the Pudding Club is £26 per person, but you need to book extremely early to avoid disapointment.

In the 1980's it seemed as though such delights as Jam Roly Poly, Syrup Sponge, Sticky Toffee Pudding and Spotted Dick were rarities in the face of seductive competition from Black Forest Gateau and frozen Strawberry Cheesecake. Members of the Pudding Club can proudly claim their efforts, enabled the great British Pudding to reclaim an enthusiastic following throughout the country and well beyond it.

Cold Poached Salmon and New Potatoes; Gooseberry Fool and bowls of Summer Red Berries as well as Summer Pudding itself feature in June July and August.

Traditionalists are never left out because the parade of seven puddings will include such favourites as Syrup Sponge and Sticky Toffee.  Drinks served in the Patio Garden make the Pudding Club a lovely Midsummer occasion.
